About Us |
|
Originally located north of Gulfport, Mississippi, this two story, circa 1923, log house was home to Joel Pinson Wilson and his family. The Wilsons are remembered for the acres of orange orchards they planted; thus the surrounding community became known as “Orange Grove.” After Joel’s death, as a proper only son, Clarke B. Wilson carried on the family tradition operating Wilson Farm Nurseries with his wife, Marjorie until the 1980’s. Marjorie wrote and illustrated a weekly garden column, “Gardening along the Coast” in Biloxi’s Sun Herald newspaper. In 1994, the house was relocated to the historic town of Ocean Springs. Ocean Springs was founded in 1699 by French Explorers and offers guests a rich historical and cultural experience.
